Pancake Breakfast – Sunday September 16th

This year’s Beach Dads Club pancake breakfast is scheduled to accompany the PAINTS Chalk Art Festival on September 16th. We’ll be flipping pancakes all morning, so mark you calendars – last year’s event was a lot of fun for everyone involved.

Wow. September 16. Well it looks like we’ll have to hit the ground running. With the precident set last year, I’d imagine that we have to plan for 600 folks, which will require even more logistical cartwheels.

We probably should figure on at least 4 griddles, etc. Do we want to have an organizational meeting to figure out who will take on what? I’ve got all the spreadsheets of people and what they did last year if that would be a help.

I think we need to go over EXACTLY what we need before Al and I go on the Costco run (e.g.–juice and cups for the kids, how much; butter for pancakes; plates etc (I know we have some, but how much should we buy?). I’ve got Joe Loduca’s purchase list for the pancakes, and I’ve got an idea of how much bacon, but it’s all the other odds and ends that could bury us.

So Bob, I don’t know if you’re handing the overall picture, or if you have someone designated to deal with the drinks and sort of non-food purchasing, but let me know what you think we need, or let me know the person whose in charge of that stuff so we can talk.
